A2L refrigerants for Cold Storage
Solstice® ze (R-1234ze)
Mildly flammable (A2L refrigerant), ultra-low GWP and energy-efficient alternative to R-134a in air-cooled and water-cooled chillers and heat pumps
Solstice® L40X (R-455A)
Mildly flammable (A2L refrigerant), <150 GWP refrigerant that provides better performance, lower CAPEX and improved operating efficiencies compared to the higher GWP refrigerants it replaces. Proven to provide CAPEX equipment reduction vs. other low GWP A2L refrigerants due to reduced equipment required from increased charge size
Solstice® 454C (R-454C)
GWP of 466, mildly flammable (A2L refrigerant), with a close match to R-404A equipment design. Demonstrates nearly 10% improved efficiency and capacity within 8% of R-404A, with a GWP that’s 96% lower than R-404A
A1 refrigerants for Cold Storage
Solstice® zd (R-1233zd)
Nonflammable (A1), ultra-low GWP of <1, offering better capacity and similar efficiency to R-123. Addresses the challenging environmental needs of different industries like centrifugal chillers and high-temperature heat pumps
Solstice® N15 (R-515B)
GWP of 293, nonflammable (A1) azeotropic blend that demonstrates environmental and performance benefits in new systems. Matches the capacity and efficiency of R-1234ze, hence it can be used in all equipment that has been designed for R-1234ze
Solstice® 513A - (R-513A)
Non-ozone depleting, low GWP, nonflammable (A1), HFO-based refrigerant developed to replace R-134a in new flooded and/or centrifugal chillers. Offers an optimal balance of properties including high energy efficiency and lower GWP, which is better for the environment
Solstice® N40 (R-448A)
Lower-GWP nonflammable (A1) refrigerant for low and medium-temperature supermarket refrigeration retrofits and new systems. Demonstrates lower energy consumption, increased refrigeration capacity, and coefficient of performance (COP) compared to R404A
