Solstice® 454C - (R-454C)

Solstice® 454C (R-454C) is a non-ozone depleting, zeotropic blend designed as a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) alternative to R-404A in refrigeration applications and also offers fossil-free residential heating with a below 150 GWP refrigerant.

Overview
Solstice® 454C demonstrates nearly 10% improved efficiency and capacity within 8% of R-404A, with a GWP that’s 96% lower than R-404A.With its environmental qualities and an evaporator glide of less than 8°F, R-454C can be an effective long term refrigeration solution in many applications:

Solstice 454C in Heat Pump Applications:Solstice 454C (R-454C) offers fossil-free residential heating with a below 150 GWP refrigerant. Solstice 454C heat pumps offer practical, flexible solutions across most heat pump applications and property types. It has a more cost-effective design, which can be applied in both split and monobloc heat pump configurations. They are safer to install & service than propane, as propane is classified as A3 (highly flammable), whereas Solstice refrigerants are only A2L (mildly flammable). Solstice® 454C heat pumps are uniquely innovative, with optimised systems able to reduce customer lifetime cost with up to a 11% energy efficiency improvement.
