Honeywell NduroMatt™ Matting Agents for Paints and Coatings
Triple the protection of surfaces, inks and coatings from mar, abrasion, rub, scrub, scratch and burnishing, more than conventional matting agents.
Honeywell’s NduroMatt™ line of matting agents offers a range of performance attributes for architectural, wood, industrial, and functional coatings. It can completely replace conventional matting agents or can be used in conjunction with conventional matting agents to enhance surface properties.
Conventional matting agents make coatings susceptible to surface defects such as burnish, mar and scratch, negatively impacting the durability of matte paints and coatings. Honeywell NduroMatt™ offers three product groups that can triple the protection of surfaces, inks and coatings from such abrasions.
The NduroMatt™ product line includes
NduroMatt™ 100 is a medium density polyethylene (MDPE) used in either water- or solvent-borne semi-gloss, to matte/flat inks and coatings. It provides superior surface properties compared to conventional matting agents.
NduroMatt™ 200 is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) used in either water- or solvent-borne semi-gloss, to matte/flat inks and coatings that require an additional boost in surface properties over NduroMatt™ 100.
NduroMatt™ 300 is a micronized high-density, oxidized polyethylene (HDOxPE) homopolymer targeted for aqueous semi-gloss to matte/flat, inks and coatings. Also acceptable for solvent-based systems, and offers superior surface properties compared to conventional matting agents.
