Spectra® 435 Denier [145] (S-1000)

Spectra® 435-145 is one of the world’s strongest (37.5 / 3.21 g/den) and lightest fibers with a denier of 435 / 483 decitex. The breaking strength of this product is 33 lbs with an elongation of 3.3%.

Overview

Honeywell Spectra® fiber provides lightweight, dependable strength in demanding applications. Produced using a patented gel-spinning process, it is:

  • A bright white polyethylene fiber with high resistance to chemicals, water and ultraviolet light
  • Stronger than steel and 40 percent stronger than aramid fiber
  • Capable of withstanding high-load strain-rate velocities
