A-C® 820A
Medium density polyethylene (MDPE) homopolymer
Overview
Very low viscosity, medium density polyethylene (PE) homopolymer for use in solvent borne coatings, in heatset and liquid solvent borne inks to improve mar & abrasion (rub resistance) by lowering COF(Increasing slip). It acts as a rheological aid in Hot Melt Adhesives (HMAs), acting as a diluent, to lower viscosity at the application temperature while improving substrate wetting, both leading to improved adhesion. It's sharp melt point can shorten the open time of adhesives. Can also be partially substituted for FT (Fisher Tropsch) Wax in adhesive applications without detracting from formulation properties. It is used as a dispersing agent for color masterbatch applications. In plastic processing, it is used as an external lubricant. Sharp melt point also aids nucleation of expanded polystyrene.Use SDS Number 11455 to retrieve the safety data sheet using the SDS Finder.
