AClyn® Ionomer Performance Additives
AClyn® low molecular weight ionomers help provide optimal dispersing behavior and color strength
Honeywell’s ACLyn® series of low molecular weight ionomers allow formulators to tackle a variety of development challenges that improve performance, save on cost and increase manufacturing efficiency. AClyn products have a much higher viscosity and are harder than unmodified waxes, to help provide optimal dispersing behavior and color strength with the highest pigment concentration. The ionomers provide better performance over all three steps of the dispersion mechanism, including mixing.
The AClyn® line includes
AClyn® 201 is a calcium ionomer of an EAA copolymer. In pastille form, it is used as a pigment dispersing agent for masterbatch in polar resin systems due to enhanced compatibility with the resin carrier.
AClyn® 201A is a calcium ionomer of an EAA copolymer. In powder form, it is used as a pigment dispersing agent for masterbatch in polar resin systems due to enhanced compatibility with the resin carrier.
AClyn® 285P is an ionomer of an EAA copolymer, based on AC 5120, which is 80% neutralized with Sodium, as is soluble in water. The sodium provides water sensitivity. This product can be used in temporary protective coatings.
AClyn® 295A is a zinc ionomer of an EAA copolymer, in powdered form, is neutralized to 98%. Zinc can provide corrosion resistance. Used as a pigment dispersing agent for masterbatch in polar resin systems due to enhanced compatibility with the resin carrier.
