Spectra® 1300 Denier [159] (S-1000)
Spectra® 1300-159 is one of the world’s strongest (35.5 / 3.04 g/den) and lightest fibers with a denier of 1300 / 1444 decitex. The breaking strength of this product is 101.7 lbs with an elongation of 3.3%.
Honeywell Spectra® fiber provides lightweight, dependable strength in demanding applications. Produced using a patented gel-spinning process, it is:
- A bright white polyethylene fiber with high resistance to chemicals, water and ultraviolet light
- Stronger than steel and 40 percent stronger than aramid fiber
- Capable of withstanding high-load strain-rate velocities
