S-1000
Spectra® 130 Denier (S-1000)
Spectra® 130 is one of the world’s strongest (38 / 3.25 g/den) and lightest fibers with a denier of 130 / 144 decitex. The breaking strength of this product is 11.1 lbs with an elongation of 3.2%.
Honeywell Spectra® fiber provides lightweight, dependable strength in demanding applications. Produced using a patented gel-spinning process, it is:
- A bright white polyethylene fiber with high resistance to chemicals, water and ultraviolet light
- Stronger than steel and 40 percent stronger than aramid fiber
- Capable of withstanding high-load strain-rate velocities
