Traditionally, the automotive service industry has used UV dye to help detect and repair air conditioning system leaks. Today Honeywell is offering 1234yf service refrigerant with the UV dye mixed in, in 8 ounce cans and in 10 pound disposable cylinders. With this new product, techs can eliminate using messy liquid dye and can quickly and precisely detect and repair AC system leaks. Solstice® yf UV uses the same UV dye that the car makers used on the assembly line allowing service technicians to use the same dye that the OEMs use in the field.
